McDougall, John- Passed away peacefully in his 72nd year at Groves Memorial Community Hospital , on Friday, Sept 29, 2006. In his final days he was surrounded by his loving wife, extended family and friends.Devoted husband to Eileen, best friend and brother to Peter and his wife Mary and two step sons James and David Atkinson. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. He will be dearly missed by his neighbors and friends.John retired at the age of 49 from Canada Wire. With his early retirement he was able to extend much of his time and knowledge to helping his family and friends. He was quite the handyman. John would not let a lawn mower die. He would fix it up and often resell it with a warranty.The family will receive friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS. Visitation will be 6-9pm on Monday, October 2, 2006. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 11 am.In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
