Obituary for John Alfred Kraus

John Alfred Kraus, 64, of Rockwood ON, passed away unexpectedly on September 22. He passed at St. Mary's hospital. John's love and passion for motor vehicles started at an early age tinkering with motorcycles and snowmobiles. As life went on, the size of vehicle got larger eventually turning into large machinery such as transport trucks and eventually school buses. John came across as grumpy and opinionated but was known to his friends and family to have a heart of gold. With his tan from head to toe and use of coconut oil as sunscreen, you could say he was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. John spent every moment he could in the sun whether it was spending time on his boat, attending Nascar races, relaxing on the shore at Manitoulin Island in the summer, or visiting Cuba in the winter. John shared 44 years of love and life with his wife Vicki. He challenged his skilled hands and built her a house where they raised his proudest accomplishments in his name sake John and his baby girl Rebecca. John leaves behind his wife Vicki, his son John and his wife Jennifer, his daughter Rebecca and her partner Graham, and his grandchildren Josephine, Colby, Casey, and Link, as well as his fur baby Daisy. John's family would like to give a heartfelt appreciation to his friends, neighbors and coworkers at The Student Transportation of Canada Inc. who formed a tribute procession of buses giving expressions of sympathy to John's passing. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
