Of Fergus Ontario, Passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 26th . dear loving husband of Jean Gilbert for 53 years, and loving father of Brent and his wife Darlene, Douglas and wife Jan, Brian and his wife Deanne, John and wife Shelly. Dear grandfather (Poppa) of 10 grandchildren Stephanie, Amanda, Sean, Nicole, Daniel, Jessica, Alexandra, Kennedy, Jennifer and Melissa and Pappy to 2 great grandchildren. Devon and Carter. Predeceased by his mother Margaret Airhart, father John Houston, also his brother Donald. Surviving his sister Barbara Morrison and her husband Ken Morisson of Niagara on the Lake. Also brother-in-law of Rose Houston, wife of the late Donald, brother-in-law of John and Marilyn Gilbert of Alliston. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and former organist of St. James Anglican Church for 14 years. Bob was also a volunteer with Wellington Hospice for a few years. Retired from Proctor and Gamble for the past 20 years. A private family visitation will be held at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus. The funeral service will be held at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fergus on Saturday June 30th at 11am. A reception will be held in the church basement immediately following the service. Cremation has already taken place and burial will take place at a later date.
