After a truly courageous battle with cancer, in Fergus, Ontario on December 23, 2005 in his 72nd year. John will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years Evelyn (Ludgate) of Minden, Ontario. John will be fondly remembered by his son Brian ( Lesley ) of Los Angeles and his daughter Mary Anne Karpis ( John) of Seagrave, Ontario and his loving grandchildren Hallie Marie, and Graeme John. John is survived by his caring sisters Frances O’Grady (Bill deceased) and Nancy Grecco ( Patrick). John bravely served as a police officer with the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force and was a Senior Vice President of The Co-Operators Insurance. Friends may call at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David S. in Fergus on Tuesday December 27th 2005 from 7-9pm and Dec.28th from 9 –10:30am, at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Fergus at 11:00am.
