Obituary for John Stuart Goulding

John Stuart Goulding
Johnny passed away in a kayaking accident on the Capilano River in Vancouver, British Columbia on January 29, 2018 in his 49th year. Loving husband of Tiffany and devoted son of Audrey and Bill (predeceased 2013) Goulding. Brother of Lloyd (predeceased 1980), David (Francine), Robert (Heather) and Janet (Jim). Son-in-law of Fred and Bonnie Howard, and brother-in-law to Fred Jr (Mary). Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Although Johnny grew up in Arthur, Ontario, his adventurous spirit and love of nature took him on a journey to the west coast in 1995. There he found creative inspiration for his work, a natural playground to explore and Tiffany, the love of his life. Johnny was a talented industrial designer; an avid outdoor enthusiast and an expert whitewater paddler. He cared deeply about the river, the ocean, the mountains and the forest and was passionate about life and the people he loved.

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln

A Memorial Service will be held at the Arthur United Church, 101 Tucker Street, Arthur on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Grand River Conservation Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted with the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
