Following a brief illness on Saturday June 14th, 2003 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus. Joan Harris (nee Hammond) of Fergus in her 84th year. Beloved and devoted friend and wife of Peter Harris. Dear sister of Kathleen Torbitt of Pittsburgh, Penn., U.S.A. Lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews Myra Kazanjian of Pittsburgh, Penn., U.S.A., John Torbitt of Georgia, U.S.A., Stephen Wisby of S. Wales, Anita Tomaszewski of S. Wales, Heather Isaacs of S. Wales, Jane Allchurch of S. Wales and Paul Harris and family of Winchester, England. Joan is fondly remembered by a number of great nieces and nephews and other family members. Predeceased by her sister Myra Wisby. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held from the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Wednesday June 25th, 2003 at 1:30 PM. Rev. David Whitecross officiating.
