Jill Medland (nee Allen), 56, of Fergus, passed surrounded by family at Groves Memorial Hospital on the
evening of December 1 after a fierce & feisty battle with cancer.
Known to many extras as Momma Jill, her big heart and caring nature will be sorely missed. A true friend and
active community member, Jill spent many years contributing her time and expertise to various volunteer
organizations and small businesses. Always a champion of life’s everyday joys, Jill enjoyed a cold drink, good
music, and family game night.
Best friend and loving wife to Dave, constant cheerleader and caring Mom to Brittney (Andrew) and Steve
(Kasondra), snuggle buddy and adoring Gramma to Macklin & Radek; Jill was eagerly awaiting the arrival of
another grandson in early 2023. A doting daughter & supportive sister, Jill is also survived by her mother Doris
McGuin and brothers George and Jeff Allen.
Family will welcome those wishing to share memories and celebrate Jill at Graham Giddy Funeral Home in
Fergus during visitations 2-4pm or 7-9pm Thursday December 8, 2022. Celebration of life to be held at 11am
Friday December 9, 2022.
