Obituary for James Wilbert "Jim" WEADICK

Jim passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary, Alberta on January 3, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Elora, he went to Calgary in 1957 and worked for C.P. Rail, retiring as a conductor. He was the son of the late Henry and Carrie Weadick. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold and Bill. Survived by one sister and her husband Cleland Honsinger of Guelph, also sisters-in-law Margaret of Alma and Elaine of Penticton, B.C., also several nieces and nephews. A memorial service took place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Elora conducted by Rev Duane McLean of Parkview Pentecostal Church, Guelph on January 13, 2005. Inurnment in Elora Cemetery. Jim will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to Graham Giddy for his kindness, care and expertise in arranging the Memorial Service, also to Russell and Millie Fraser, long time friends in Calgary, who have been so helpful during this difficult time.
