Passed away suddenly at his home, with his wife at his side, on August 4th, 2017 in his 86th year. Beloved husband for 57 years of Mary (nee Fox). Loving father of Scott, Michael (Judy), David (Meridith) and Peter (Christie). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Megan Walker (Lucas), Shannon, Zachary, Riley and Robbie. Survived by his brothers Hugh (Marietta) and Bill (Sharen).
Jim enjoyed camping trips across Canada with his sons; teaching in several schools, the staff and students were always special to him. Thank you to the many family and friends for the great memories of many bicycling, canoeing trips and fun. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at Melville United Church, 300 St. Andrew St. West in Fergus, on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at 2:00pm. Memorial donations in Jim’s memory can be directed to Melville United Church.
