Obituary for James Bernard "Jim" Hussey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Bernard (Jim) Hussey on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022. Jim passed peacefully at home and is now at rest. He will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Jim was born in Sheffield, England on October 2nd, 1946.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sue, of 47 years and sister Marie and brother Patrick, his son Jamie and wife Lyndsey, son Chris and wife Denise, as well as grandsons Devin and Ewan.

Jim is predeceased by his father James and mother Marie and his son Paul.

Jim lived a full life and traveled the world in the early days of his precision tools sales career. This brought the family to Canada in 1981. He spent the later years of his career as the well-loved Hardware Manager at Canadian Tire on Woodlawn Road in Guelph.

Jim was an avid supporter of the Sheffield United football club and closely followed PGA Golf. He spent his retirement enjoying all that Fergus has to offer.

Jim was a natural storyteller and had a sharp wit. Much to Sue’s dismay, he was the first to crack a joke or offer stories of his travels and experiences. Most of all, he was very generous with his family and always supported with everything he had.

Jim has asked for a celebration of life with his immediate family and their siblings. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Groves Memorial Community Hospital in his honour.
