Obituary for Ivy Stephanie Taylor

Ivy passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace on February 4, 2010 in her 94th year. Ivy was predeceased by her husband Jack Taylor in 1995. Lovingly remembered by her children Patricia Matthews (Douglas), Eileen Doherty (Paul), Sheila Chartrand, Duncan (Margaret) O’Doherty and daughter-in-law Noreen Taylor. Fondly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son John and son-in-law Bob Chartrand. Ivy was born in England to James and Roslyn Mills. Proud member of several organizations, Ivy also served as a nurse with the RAF in World War II. Ivy was a nurse at St. Thomas Elgin Hospital for 33 years before moving to the Fergus area. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on February 10th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, 171 Queen St. East in Fergus, on February 11th at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
