Obituary for Irene Ross Flowers (Watson)

Irene Ross Flowers (Watson)
Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on July 22, 2018 at the age of 92. She will be deeply missed by her son Ross Flowers(Jean Hodder) and daughter Diane Hartlin as well as her “grand-dog” Honda. Predeceased by her husband George(2013) and her parents Peter and Isabella Watson. Irene was a favourite aunt of Susan James and family. Irene loved life and the people around her. She willingly took on the role of caregiver to family members needing help. Irene was well known for her fashion sense as well as her interest in cooking and entertaining. She was the ultimate hostess.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Nancy Rose-Janes and the nursing staff at Groves Hospital for their outstanding care and kindness. Thanks also to the staff of Heritage River who were a great help to Irene.
There will be a private family interment. Donations can be directed towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Groves Memorial Hospital in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
