Hugh was born on April 6, 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland and settled in Canada with his siblings and parents in the 1960s. He worked for Air Canada for 34 years in Toronto, where he met many of his lifelong friends. He was a proud Scotsman, a piper, a devoted Catholic, a Mason, and a Shriner. He was a loving husband of 40 years, a father, father-in-law, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend to many. He truly cherished his family and his many friendships above all.
He will be remembered for his gentle smile, sense of humour, willingness to help out anyone in need and most of all for his ability to encourage and love all of those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Friday, July 8th,, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 pm.
