Obituary for Howard Ronald "Ron" Switzer

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald Howard Switzer, in his home on March 24th, 2022, at the age of 83.

Ronald is predeceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Marline Switzer. Ronald will be greatly missed by his four daughters; Donna Reaman (Bob, predeceased), Judy Bremmers (John), Rhonda Switzer, and Sharon Harris (William). Ronald also leaves behind his second family by way of Marline, Christopher Phillips (Debbie), Gary Phillips and Donna Dechart (Steven).

The youngest of three, he leaves behind his sisters Ruth Hernandez and Joyce Nairn-Walters.
Ronald also leaves behind in his legacy, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He spent a great number of his working years employed with Intercounty Milk Transport and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Dairy Inspector, and was well known in the community for his milk pick up and testing. In addition to his full time work, he also farmed on the side, with the help of his family. Ronald had a passion and talent for landscaping, gardening and wood crafting

Over the years Ronald developed a love for the Lord and put his faith in Him. We will miss him but know he is now reunited with Marline and joins her in heaven.

Visitation will take place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus on March 31st from 10:00am – 11:00am with funeral service at 11:00am. Interment to follow. As per the family's request, masks are required to be worn during visitation and service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society in recognition of the love Ronald had for Marline.
