Obituary for Helmut Bosch
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Helmut Bosch in Fergus, Ontario on May 1st, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Helmut was born in Heidenheim, Germany and emigrated to Canada with his family in 1968.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Erika of 64 years. Proud father to Thomas (Pauline), Marion (Darren) and Karin (Braden). Cherished Opa to Bettina, Mattias (Lisa), Nicholas (Chrissy), Zander and Madeline. Beloved Uri Opa to Penelope, Selah, Dexter, Xavier, Thea, Gabriel, Jannik, Luna and Matilda. Helmut was predeceased by his son Bernd (1961).
Helmut will also be missed by his extended family residing in Germany. He has so many cherished memories from his homeland where he was married, and all 4 children were born.
Over the course of his life Helmut enjoyed gardening, creating candle holders on his wood lathe, finding a good deal at a garage sale and enjoying a glass of wine with family and friends. He was a pastry chef by trade and operated Georgian Home Bakery in Midland, Ontario with Erika for 4 years until he traded in his baker’s hat for a real estate license. He loved working with people and negotiating a good deal!
