HILDEBRAND, Gerhild (Schnippering):Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 14th, 2006 at Pinehaven Nursing Home at the age of 74. Mom was loved by her family. Her last gift of love to us was the time she gave us to gather by her side and say goodbye. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband Lothar Hildebrand of Waterloo. Married for 52 years, he was always there in her time of need. Devoted mother to Roger of Georgetown, Susan of North Bay and Monica of Fergus. Beloved Oma to her four grandchildren Sabina, Melissa, Erika and Quinton. She will be missed by family and friends in Germany.She was married in Germany on June 5th, 1954 and together they made their way to Canada in 1957 to start a new life together. They started their own business in Fergus, (Hildebrand’s Kitchen Cabinets) and she managed to work beside her husband for 35 years. There they raised their three children to be strong and independent individuals and never missed a chance to tell them how much they were loved. Devoted to being an Oma when her grandchildren arrived, she would drop everything to be there and help. Her legacy the everlasting love she had for her family.Friends and family will be received at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. in FERGUS on FRIDAY, MARCH 17TH, 2006 from 2-4 and 7 –9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday March 18th, at 11AM. with Canon Steve Witcher officiating. Burial to follow at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus.
