Died unexpectedly on May 12, 2010 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus Ontario in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Wendy and predeceased by his wife, Carol. Brother of Leslie (Nick) Nicholls of Edmonton. Father of Linda Nicholls, Janice (Paul Sobanski) Nicholls, Sandra (Fred) Broad and Craig Nicholls and stepfather of Sondra (Tim) Knapp, Alisa Pothier, and Jennifer (Roy) Hu. Grandfather to Thea & Brenna Sobanski, Adam & Sarah Broad, Emilie Pothier, Alexa Knapp, Summer Nicholls and Paul Hu. Gerry worked for 46 years for The Bay in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto finishing his career in personnel management. In retirement he delighted in the fellowship and community activities of Pine Meadows and the Fergus area.
