It is with complete sadness and shock, that we announce the passing of George Watson,
suddenly at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, as a result of health complications. George was 76 years old and passed away with his family by his side. Anyone who knew George … knew a “tender heart”. His love of family and friends was openly shared with an extra special spot, for the wee ones.
George leaves behind : his sons, Mike and Dave (Sherry) McConnell and his grandchildren Holly and Cameron, also his friend and companion Linda Rowan and family. George was the “big brother” to Marg (Bill) Rooney, Carrie Osburn and Bob (Sharon) Watson along with many nieces and nephews, all who will miss him very much.George was predeceased by his wife Shirley, his parents Dave and Ethel Watson his brother-in-laws Harry Simpson and most recently Lorne Osburn. Visitation will take place at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Monday September 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service for George will take place on Tuesday, September 6th in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm.
