Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 in his 94th year. He leaves behind his loving wife Viola Wallace (Fisher) of over 67 years and their children Stewart Wallace (Betty, deceased), Allan Wallace (Janice), Kenneth Wallace (Marilyn), Helen Potter (Brad), Mary Perrett (Neil) and Philip Wallace (Janet) as well as daughter-in-law Brenda Wallace. George is affectionately remembered by his 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by brother, Hugh, and sister, Margaret.

George was a life-long farmer working and managing the century family farm in Ponsonby. He was a dedicated and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. His love of life, family, and friends, especially around the dinner table, were inspirational and infectious. He will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church Street East, Elora on Monday, January 21st, 2019 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. A Memorial Service will begin in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm.
