Obituary for George Anthony Pinchin

George Anthony Pinchin
Passed away suddenly Monday, September 11, 2017 at the age of 81. George is predeceased by the love of his life Jean Frances Pinchin (2013). George leaves behind his sons Steven (Joy) Pinchin, Colin (Donna) Pinchin and his daughter Sandra (Shane) Hebner. He was a loving Grandad to 7 beautiful Granddaughters Toni (Matt), Colleen (Jeff), Jennifer (Jon), Bailey (Matt), Krystal (Mark), Jessica (Jeremiah) and Kaileigh (Douglas). He is predeceased by his cherished Grandson Drew (1998). George had the pleasure of enjoying 15 Great Grandchildren Aspen, Reagan, Jaxson, Kylee, Leyton, Luke, Lindsay, Owen, Corben, Mae, Benson, Alexis, Emrey and Miah. He is predeceased by his special wee Great Granddaughter Faith (2012). George always had a special place for Maggie and Amy too.
George was born on March 9, 1936 in England. He found the love of his life Jean and they married in December 1955, while he was on leave from the Army. They had 2 sons and a daughter. The family of 5 immigrated to Canada in 1968 and made Fergus their home. That family of 5 has now turned into a family of 36, soon to be 37 with the arrival of another Great Granddaughter. Anyone who knew George spoke very highly of him. He was a very gentle, kind and loving soul that you wouldn’t help but love even if he was a “Tottenham Hot Spurs” fan. He loved his soccer just as much as his Timmies coffee and his Coffee Crisp chocolate bars.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus from 1:00 to 5:00pm.
Special thanks to Dr. Brault, CCAC, Personal Support Worker Christine, responding paramedics and Groves Memorial Community Hospital, and Shoppers Drug Mart delivery driver Ken Taylor. We love you Dad, you’ll always be our #1.
