Passed away peacefully on June 28, 2017 in his 89th year.
Beloved husband of the late Margrid. Loving father of Franz, Wally, Pat, MaryAnn, Maureen, Dorothy, Ursula, Simonne and Peter. Loved grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Franz is predeceased by his children Franz Jr. and MaryAnn, grandchildren Nathan and Ryan and by his brother Walter.
Franz was a pioneer of sorts. After arriving from Germany as a young man, he married and had 9 children. He had various business adventures throughout Canada and finally settled in the Elora area. His enthusiasm for creativity, design and invention is shared and expressed through his children and family.
