The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frances Maitland can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Frances Margaret Maitland

Passed away peacefully at The Wellington Terrace in Fergus on December 15th in her 86th year. She leaves behind her children Marnie(Rod)Kidder, John(Shelley)Maitland and Scott(Jill)Maitland, grandchildren Ashley, Shawn, Amy, Becky, Rachel(Jordan), John, Connor, Taylor and Carley. Also survived by and her brother Ken(Janice) Syer and their children Ken, Julie, Bruce and great grandchildren Dominic, Jackson and Claire. Also survived by Jack Maitland. Visitation will be held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church Street East, Elora on Thursday December 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9pm and the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday December 23rd at 1pm followed by a time of reception being held at The Elora United Church Basement.
