Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Friday July 6, 2012. Evelyn McManus (nee Lewis) of Fergus in her 72nd year. Evelyn began a distinguished career in Nursing on December 6, 1961 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough and served in many hospitals throughout Ontario before retiring from St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph. Loved and missed by her husband of 50 years, David McManus. Dear mother of Kimberly Anne Zippel (Mark) of Peterborough and Michael David Anthony (Sherri) of Thorndale. Remembered by her special grandson Keith David Zippel. Survived by her sisters Joan Furukawa of Alberta, Betty Lewis (Lee Ursel) of Collingwood, and her brothers Ronald (Ruth) of Norwood, Gordon (Diane) of Havelock, Fred (Marlene) of Havelock, William (Helen) of Campbellford and Stephen of Peterborough. Also missed by all of the McManus family. Predeceased by her daughter Laurie Deborah McManus (1980) and her parents Keith and Madalene. Friends and relatives may call at THE GRAHAM A.
