Obituary for Ethel Lavinia Watson

Suddenly at Guelph General Hospital on January 21, 2010, after a brief illness. Ethel Watson in her 90th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Dave (1996). Survived by her children George (Linda) Watson, Marg (Bill) Rooney, Carrie (Lorne) Osburn, Bob (Sharon) Watson and grandchildren Mike and Dave, Terry (June), Gail (Janet), Lloyd, Ryan (Kaileigh), Amy (Jamie), Krista (Chris), Becky (Jeremy), Brandon. Great grandchildren Holly, Cameron, Makaila, Andrew and Alana. She is predeceased by her son in-law Harry Simpson (1989) and daughter in-law Shirley Watson ( 2007). Ethel was a very active member at the Fergus Legion Br #275. She enjoyed her family to its fullest, her card games and bingo, and she even partook in singing karaoke at the Legion. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday January 24th from 2 –4 PM and 7 –9 PM, with a Legion service at 6:45 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday January 25th at 2:00 PM. Interment to take place in the Spring at Huxley Cemetery in Hillsburgh.
