Passed away peacefully into glory after a battle with cancer, on May 17, 2008, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. Lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 40 years, William (Bill), and their children Elsa DeGelder (Matt), Joanne McGahan (Mike Gartner), Rick (Deanna), Jenn Hopman (Rouel), Kim Cross (Bob), Karen Reimer (Jake), Les (Melissa), and Lisa (Armen Svadjian). Elly will be fondly remembered by her 21 grandchildren and her mother-in-law, Janet Devries. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Monday, May 19, from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the Maranatha Canadian Reformed Church (Belsyde Ave. just east of Scotland St.) in Fergus, on Tuesday, May 20, at 1:00pm.
