Passed away peacefully, after a short illness, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, on November 22, 2008 in her 70th year. Born in Swansea, resided primarily in Mississauga. Betty will be dearly missed by her husband of 48 years, George Davis Carruthers. Fondly remembered by her sons Kevin Jon, Andrew James (Crystal Marie) and Ian George (Ana Rosa). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dustin, Nicholas, Alexander, Jessica, Luana, Luca and Emma Elizabeth. Survived by her sister Margaret Carrick Star. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Monday, November 24 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:00pm.
