Obituary for Eileen Beverly Stumpf (Shafer)

On March 25th after her family said goodbye, Eileen Beverly Stumpf (nee Shafer) passed away peacefully at The Wellington Terrace in Fergus.

Eileen spent her entire life in Elora with her husband William (Bill) always by her side.

She is predeceased by her Parents, Arthur and Margret Shafer and sister Mary Kuglin (nee Shafer).

Survived by her husband of 63 years, William (Bill) Stumpf, her son Jonathan and her brother Eric Shafer (Barbara).

Dear mother in law of Pamela Stumpf (nee Collins).

Sister in law to Don (Judy) Stumpf and Joe Kuglin. She was the proud aunt to Colleen (Andy) Ladzik, Brad (Tammy) Stumpf and Annette Stumpf.

Eileen was passionate about her family, friends, faith and loved sharing her experiences and knowledge with others.

Special thank you to Dr. Stickney, her amazing compassionate nurses and the support staff at Wellington Terrace. The family is forever grateful for the quality of care you all provided.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00PM at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St. East, Elora. Visitors must RSVP, wear a mask and practice social distancing. A private service will be held for family with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
