Obituary for Dorothy Metcalf (Saunders)
Phyllis “Dorothy” Metcalf (Saunders), January 06, 1934 – December 01, 2020
Dorothy passed away at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on December 1st, 2020 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Trevor Metcalf for 43 years. Dear Aunt of Sharon James of Ottawa, Donald (Donna) Smythe of San Diego, James Smythe of England, Adam Kosky of Aurora, and Penelope (Stefano) Brucciani of England. Great Aunt of Daniel Smythe, Victoria Smythe, Mike Brucciani, and Ania Brucciani, all of England. Dear friend of Dave Miller of Elora.
Dorothy lived and worked much of her life in southwestern Ontario and returned to the area after a ten-year adventure in Bermuda with Trevor. She loved arts and crafts, and was accomplished in many of them, including sewing, needle work, upholstering, and painting.
Arrangements entrusted to Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Elora. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorial donations to a charity of choice and condolences may be made on-line.
