Born May 16, 1928 in West Luther Township. Peacefully at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on February 4th, 2004. Doris Pretti, formerly of Toronto. Beloved wife of the late Joe Pretti. Mother of Wayne and Sandra Bowman, Denise and Uri Berman, John Chelo, and Katherine Erskine. Grandmother of Rob Bowman, Cindy Berdun, Zachary Erskine, and Adam and Michael Chelo. Great grandmother of Stephanie, Amanda and Katie Bowman. Dear sister of Ruth Thoms and sisters-in-law Grace Gilder, Ruby Gilder and Cecile Gilder. Predeceased by her daughter Lynne Chelo, 5 brothers; Ray, Ken, Paul, Lloyd and Bill Gilder and 1 sister Laverne. A memorial service will take place on Sunday February 8th, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #229, Elora. Lunch and visitation will follow the service until 4:00 PM.
