Dearly beloved husband of Ellen, devoted father of Shawn (Lydia), Donna (Robert Hull), David (Margaret Jane) and Janet (Raid Shamsa). Don will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Amy, Jeffrey, Caroline, Emily, Patrick, Adam and Rayan and step- grandchildren Téa, Jason and Hans-Philippe and honourary grandchildren Soraya and Jasmine. Don’s heart touched many others as a Captain in the Canadian Army, a teacher for 30 years and a very active community volunteer in Quebec. The family is sincerely grateful to Dr. Sugamori and the wonderful staff on the second floor of Groves Hospital for the excellent care Don received and the great kindness that was shown to his family. Memorial Service for Don will be conducted at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Tuesday, November 24th at 2:00 PM, with visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
