On April 30th, 2016 on their 61st wedding anniversary Donald Gear of Fergus, passed away peacefully at Guelph General hospital in his 84th year. He will be dearly missed by his wife Loreen (nee: McEachern). Lovingly remembered by his sons Scott (Karen) of Fergus, Paul (Claire) of Cambridge and Dale (Anne) of Brighton. Special Grandpa to Bradley (Krystal), Chantelle (Tyler), Stephen, Lucas, Hailey and Morgan as well great grandfather to Kaylyn, Logan and Peyton. Don will be remembered by his brother Robert (Joan) Gear, brothers-in -law William Beirnes and Ken (Elizabeth) McEachern and sister-in-law Elizabeth Flewwelling. Missed also by many nieces and nephews and other family members. Predeceased by sisters Peg Beirnes and Betty Beirnes and brother-in-law Ray Flewwelling. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St South, Fergus from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St, Fergus on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at 11:00 am. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
