Condolence: My Grandpa has left me with many fond memories growing up and I was lucky enough to share lots of time with him. We shared many routine outtings, special occasions and vacations together. Although I don't always remember some of our more in depth conversations, he would always help me relive the magic in the moment that left everyone smiling and laughing. I would have to say, although I have several special highlights of growing up with my grandpa and grandma, our summer trips to Oliphant were most memorable! We were all together, the whole family and it was special for me. Grandpa always looked forward to this trip especially shopping and packing "for-the-cottage". We would start preparing weeks in advance, which usually meant weekly trips to Costco, Grandma losing him because he was ahead of us and let's not forget his favourite lunch -hotdog and fries! I know the last few years were not easy for him, but he always welcomed me with open arms and a smile. I know in my heart grandpa, that you are in a better place and at peace but I will miss seeing you, spending time with you, and seeing you smile. You always knew how to make me smile, and anyone else for that matter. You were very hard working, determined, and you never gave up. If you didn't like the way things were you went ahead and fixed them yourself and you lived your life the way you wanted. I will always look up to you Grandpa. And no matter how far away you are you will always be close to me in my heart. I will forever remember MY GRANDPA. Love Sarah

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Madge and the entire Brown Family. We are truly going to miss Don. For me, he was a true friend, a mentor, a "father Figure" at times, a teacher,a travel buddy and the best airplane partner one could ever have. "Yankee Vic" is in good hands Don. I thank you for all your guidance and friendship for the past 18 years. May the sky be blue, the winds calm and the flying be smooth for you from now on. Farewell.

Condolence: Dear Madge and family... I am so sorry to be notified of Don's passing. I have so many fond memories of choir practices and performances. His wonderful baritone voice was so appreciated at Melville and the CW Singers - you can't replace that at all. We here will miss him and know that in heaven's holy choir he is joining in the singing of the Hallelujah chorus ... God Bless you all and may it comfort you in a small way that we will be grieving him too. Mary Lloyd

Condolence: In rowing, towards the end of a race the coxie calls "empty the tank" meaning to give everything you have until you hear the beep on the finish line. I believe that is exactly what my Grandfather did in his journey of life. Grandpa, you fought hard until you reached your own finish line of life without a single light 'stroke'. You always worked hard and would never just sit down for a break (unless it was one of Grandma's incredible meals, of course!). You pushed us to become better at the things we loved from sports, like curling, to school. One of my favourite memories with you was flying. In high school, you took all of us up and when i looked over and saw the smile on your face i knew i needed to live life just how you did. With Passion. You showed us all that working hard with passion and determination like yours, that in the end everything will be worth it. I'm sorry we did not get to spend more time with you over the last couple of years but i am blessed to be able to call you my grandfather. You truly are an inspriation to all of us as you influenced us with your incredible work ethic. Your journey here may have ended but i know you and Sam will always be watching me until i empty the tank to my own life.
