It is with sadness that we announce the death of Donald William Bowes on Saturday March 24th, aged 80. With his loving wife of 56 years Maureen (Mergy) by his side Don slipped quietly and peacefully away after a very short battle with cancer. Loving Father to Randy (Laura), Lynn (Mark), Karen (Rob) and James (Maria). His grandchildren, Stephanie (Brad), John, William, Michael, Jeff, Graham, Matthew, Ian, Marjorie, Oliver and Shane will forever treasure their time spent with their Grandfather, especially the times on the shores of Windy Lake. Don is also survived by his great grandson Noah and his eldest brother Cliff (Norma).Having recently left Sudbury to re-locate in Belwood Ontario a private family celebration of Don’s life was held on Wednesday March 28th. All who knew Don will remember his many kindnesses, his love of music, how much he loved to tease and how wonderful his hugs were.
