Obituary for Domenico Di Stasi
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Domenico Di Stasi on Thursday October 27th, 2022, at the age of 86.
Domenico was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Di Stasi, loving father of Sandy (Krista) and Andrea (Kevin), and cherished Nonno of Mary-Grace and Aiden. Beloved son of the late Alessandro and the late Maria Rosa Di Stasi, dear brother of the late Carmela, the late Teresina (late Dante), the late Pasqualina (late Angelo), and the late Vincenza (late Antonio). He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dom was an avid walker and took pride in the km he walked every day. He loved hunting with his son and cooking with his daughter. His house was always open to anyone who wanted to visit, share a meal or have a glass of his amazing wine. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, sensitivity and above all his never-ending love for his children and grandchildren.
There is an emptiness that will never be filled. Sincerest thanks go to all of his family and friends who showed him love and kindness in his later years. He loved you all.
Friends and family may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in
Fergus, Ontario on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 from 5–8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 760 St. David Street North, Fergus, Ontario on Friday, November 4th, 2022 at 11 am, with reception to to immediately follow in the Parish Hall. Entombment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family
