Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with Leukemia, at Groves Memorial Hospital on February 15th, 2007 in his 80th year. Derek will be forever missed by his wife Barbara Bunney. Fondly remembered by his children Linda East (Nick), Richard (Sue), Brenda Polhill (John), Alan (Elaine), Angela West (Bernard), Carole Gasson (John) and Sandra Crewdson, all of England and stepfather to Bradley and Mark Bunney (Brenda Dawson). Lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Joan McInnis (Norman) and his brother Brian (Joan) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and May (Moon) and sister Lily Wilson. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Friday, February 16th 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
