The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Denis Hopkins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Dr Stan Litch
Condolence: As a junior psychiatrist at Homewood, Denis, barely a decade older would take me under his benevolent wing, guiding me through the rigours of clinical practice. Always soft-spoken and thoughtful, he would not tolerate treatment of our patients that wasn't courteous and respectful.
He brought these same values hospitalwide when he became Medical Director.
His retirement also provided a good role model for those of us to follow our muse.
Elizabeth and I mourn the loss but treasure the memories.

Condolence From: Doris Billing
Condolence: I'm deeply saddened to hear that Denis has passed away. He was a friend and mentor, I learned so much from him . It is many years ago now, that I called him to ask if a few artist friends and I , could get together with him every second Tuesday , to discuss art and bring artwork that we were currently working on, for discussion. Well it has been a wonderful journey for me and the other artists in the group. I will miss you Denis ,but you are always in my heart. Now you are painting in heaven'' Dear friend .All my love to Noreen and family,, Sincerely , Doris Billing

Condolence: Denis is one of my favourite fellow artists with whom I loved to share a visit at the Alton Mill. He was passionate about his art and the conversation was always a joy. I will miss him.
