After a brief illness at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital on October 1st, 2005 in his 75th year. Del will be greatly missed by his wife of over 51 years, Cathy (Tiffney). Sadly missed by his children Monica Haertel (Mike) of Kitchener, Mike of Fergus, Valerie Stiles of Kitchener, Carolyn Hill (Jim) of Simcoe and Robin Cox (Al) of Kitchener. Fond memories of Del will be shared by his 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Del is also survived by his sisters Ester Arnold and Ella Belaire. Predeceased by his parents, 5 sisters, 1 brother and 1 grandchild. A Celebration of Del’s life will be conducted at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S. in Fergus, on Friday, October 7th, 2005 at 2:00pm, with visitation from 12:00pm. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshment to be held in the Wellington Room at the Funeral Home following the service.
