The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Collins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Janice & Pat Wren
Condolence: Where do we begin...so many fun times spanned over 3 homes. Dave peeking out the peephole door to the underground garage to try catch the thief that kept stealing his BMW decal off the trunk & hood, the many parties - one where I flipped him on the floor, the golf rivalry with Pat, the toilet paper & towel stories. So many wonderful memories of such a great guy, a gentleman, someone that would give you the shirt off his back. We can't believe we will no longer see his smiling face.
Lots of love & happy trails Dave... xoxo

Condolence: My Gramps was one of the most caring, pleasant, gentleman there ever was. I will always remember his warm loving smile and hugs as he greeted us everytime we came to visit.
He had the best manners and I think I learnt mine from him. I am so happy to have spent the time I did with him. Every occasion was always filled with such delicious food, lots of laughs and any...I mean ANY drink you could think of was whipped up immediately! He was the best bartender too! Your glass was almost never empty.
I'll leave that with a cheers to Dave (Gramps is what I liked to call him)
I hope your feeling no pain now. Love you tons.
Lynda (Gramma) we are here for you WHENEVER you need anything at all. Love you so much and so glad you are so much closer now. Xoxoxxo

Condolence: In 1972-73 I went to the Golden Mile Store as a Relief Checker. Dave was the Manager and the info was right. He was very fair with his crew - he was a gentleman. In 1973-74 I transferred to Warehousing where I met Harvey (Dave's father). It didn't take long to realize where Dave got his patience and mannerisms. Dave and I would work together again in 1978-80 when he came to Lakeshore in charge of Inventory. Again Dave showed his professionalism & leadership abilities as we worked through a work stoppage. We had a few social get-togethers with Lynda and Dave which were always fun. Lynda .... Sandy and I want you to know that Dave was respected by all who worked with him and truly was a gentleman who will be sadly missed by us all. Grant

Condolence: Linda, my deepest sympathies. There are no words for the loss of a loved one, let alone the love of your life. I didn't get the pleasure of spending more time with you and Dave. The handful of times we were all together, I just remember how sweet and nice my uncle was. I truly hope you celebrate his memory, and even as you grieve, smile for the good times you and Dave shared.

Condolence From: Ted Moroz, The Beer Store
Condolence: Dave Collins was a great man and a great leader. When I first arrived at "2190" I was very young and very green. Dave was so kind and he took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. He was one of my earlier mentors at The Beer Store and i am forever grateful that Dave was so kind and helpful to the young ones that came up under his watch. He was a great friend to all of us at BRI and i will always remember Dave so very fondly. My condolences to Lynda and the family -- we will miss Dave so dearly.
