Darlene was such wonderful talented and caring teacher and person. I am privileged to have taught with her and delighted to know her as a friend. She was always able to go the extra mile and was so helpful with our local 4-H baking club and with volunteering her time with us to bake pies for Erin Fair. She could produce more pies in one hour than three people in a day! What a tragic loss to her family and our community! God bless you all and know that she earned her place in Heaven many times over!

I am so sorry to hear of Darlene’s passing. I met your family when I was a Beaver leader and John joined the group. Then, Stephanie joined unofficially as she was there anyway, as there was no point in Darlene driving home and turning right around again to come back and pick John up. What a wonderful woman. Always cheerful and helpful with a rather wry sense of humour. Anytime we ran into each other, we would lose an hour chatting away and catching up on our families’ doings. I feel grateful to have had the chance to know and know you will all miss her deeply.

Steve, John, Stephanie , Loyed, Shirley and family...I just heard about the passing of Darlene yesterday.I am so sorry for your loss Darlene was always a bright light and although I did not see her often when we did connect or catch up she proudly spoke of her family and her community. She will be greatly missed by both. As a teacher she seemed to bring out the best of those around her..Darlene will be greatly missed as she was loved by many.. Hugs.. Liz Schieck
