Obituary for Cody Robert Shepperd

Cody Robert Shepperd
Shepperd, Cody Robert

With broken hearts and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Cody Friday October 20 th,2017.

Cody was known for his fun loving free spirit, his love for athletics and his infectious smile. Cody was an accomplished wrestler at both National and Provincial levels. He showed grit, toughness and dedication to mastering this most difficult sport. He was very coachable, and would take minor suggestions from his coaches and implement them immediately. He also gave back to the sport, volunteering his time to break down the sport to encourage up and coming athletes. This is a true testament of his character and truly showed his passion for the sport. His other hobbies that brought him much joy included lacrosse, snowboarding, and golfing with his dad.

Cody will be greatly missed by his loving parents, Paul and Darcie Shepperd, best friend and brother Eric. Pre- deceased by his grandfather George Jemmett. Will be sadly missed by grandmother Susan (Bob), Papa Frank and Nana Marie Shepperd. Lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation for Cody will be held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus, on Wednesday October 25th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Elora on Thursday October 26th at 11:00am. (519)843-3100 www.grahamgiddyfh.com
