It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles L. McManus on Monday, March 21, 2005 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus in his 83rd year. Charles, loving husband of Eileen (nee Herman) of Elora. Cherished father of Thomas McManus and his wife Karen of Elora, the late John McManus and his wife Nancy of Salem, Mary Alice Roden and her husband Dave of Salem, Elizabeth Gilmour and her husband John of Salem, Michael McManus and his wife Vickie of Fergus, Teresa Dolinsek and her husband Frank of Salem and Noreen Taylor and her husband Dale of Salem. Dear Grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Alice Preston McManus, son John and grandson Gabe Roden. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Charles was the owner/operator of C.L. McManus and Sons Plastering and Drywall since 1953. Friends will be received at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel 37 Church Street, Elora on Wednesday March 23, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Elora on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment to Follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Elora. If desired donations may be made to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital or Canadian Diabetes Association.
