Born February 23, 1918 and died November 21, 2020

Beloved husband of Margaret Jack, Father to Vickie Forsyth and Chris Mason, Grandfather to Ian, Jessie Hetty, Emily, Menemsha, Haven and Jeremy and Great Grandfather to Anne, Sarah, Rachel, Laura, John, Meredith, Xiluva, Walter, Eamonn, Dylan, Ben, Taylor, Sadie, Connor and Cole. He will be missed by his extended family Becky, Kyle, Jason Jodi, Jayney and Josh.

Charlie was a Navy Vet and had a long fulfilling career with McCormick’s. He had a wonderful sense of humour and lived an energetic and eventful 102 years. Full of love and generosity, always appreciating his life, he was a role model to all of his family.

Many thanks to all of the staff at Wellington Terrace for their care and consideration. Charlie thought of the Terrace as his home away from home.

He was loved and will be greatly missed.

A private family service will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus. (519)843-3100

I’m more than humbled by the service we could provide for Charlie Jack, and most grateful for the service of kindness and presence that Charlie has provided to us the staff of Wellington Terrace. The sun was his best companion and he sought it out every day he could. He sure will be missed for greeting us in the hallways and just making us feel like we are home. Rest In Peace Charlie and Peace to you the family. Joeleen Diljee

This man never failed to make my day so much better. I worked with him at the terrace and he often came to the casino where I worked after the terrace. I actually almost started crying the one time I saw him because I was having such a bad day and seeing him come into the restaurant at the casino just made my day. He will be missed by so many. Rest In Peace Charles

It was a very moving tribute at the remembrance service at the terrace this year. To have your father present the wreath on behalf of the fallen and tribute to those who served and returned will remain a special place in my mind. Blessings to all of you as you move on each day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We were able to attend Charlies 100th Birthday Party where he was surrounded by his loving large family from all ends of the world. There was much laughter and fun stories to listen to. Charlie always seemed to know and remember who everyone was which was amazing !
We know how loved he was and how he loved life ! Salute to you Charlie ! You will be missed.... Love Mark, Luisa, Celestina and Family
