Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Hamilton General Hospital, with his family by his side. Ted Boon of Guelph formerly of Fergus, in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Nancy Boon (nee Carlaw). Loving father of Lara (Scott) McEachern of Mississauga, Neil (Raechel) of Puslinch Lake and Sarah (Brad) Cartan of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Jayden, Devin, Mitchell, Charlie, Henry, Cole and Luke. Beloved son of Betty and the late Bill Stark of Fergus and Ted Boon Sr. and Linda of Bracebridge. Fondly remembered by his sister Laurelle (Rich) Doxey and his brother Graeme (Sarah) Boon. Ted is lovingly survived by a number of cousins, aunts and uncles. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on October 24th from 7-9pm and October 25th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 760 St. David St. North in Fergus, on Wednesday, October 26th at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s & St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Elora. Memorial donations can be directed to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, a charity close to Ted’s heart.
