Obituary for Chad William Darroch

Chad William Darroch
With broken hearts, Bryan and Libby announce the sudden passing of their son, Chad, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home in El Valle de Anton, Panama.

Also mourning his death are his “Forever Love” Wara and his loyal, canine friend, Lucas.

Chad leaves behind his grandmother, Rose McCulligh plus his aunts and uncles on the Darroch and McCulligh sides of his family. They include Wayne and Heather, Grant and Pat, Donna and Neil Cotton, Mike and Joan, Jerry and Pam, Paul and Lisa, Tim and Gloria and Rob and Mary. He is also survived by his many cousins.

Struggling with their loss are his friends: Chad, Adam, Aletha, Amber and Kristel plus too many others to mention.

Someone else sharing in our loss is the woman who gave us “Our Greatest Gift”, Anita, Chad’s birth mother.

Chad was many things to many people. He was a son, partner, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and coworker. He was an avid video game player, a strategy board game player, a Master of the card game “Magic, the Gathering” and had an insatiable need to read and obtain knowledge. He was a chef, master scuba diver, computer guru, a copywriter, an artist, an author, a gifted musician, a photographer, a nature lover, an environmentalist, a fisherman, a teacher and a great debater.

There will be a visitation for Chad at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus, Ontario on Friday, October 20th from 2:00pm till 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm till 9:00pm. There will be a Celebration of Chad’s Life on Saturday, October 21st at 1:00pm. Cremation has already taken place. Internment to be at Belsyde Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Mental Health Association, Suicide Prevention or to the Groves Memorial Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
