It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy unexpectedly at home in Elora on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the age of 46. Loving and devoted wife of John. Cherished and proud mother of Matthew (deceased Jan 2018). .Cathy will also be sadly missed by her parents Lavenia Banks (Sterling deceased), grandparents Elvira Baglole (Keith deceased) and the late Frances and James Banks. Cathy is also survived and dearly missed by her sister and best friend Cindy (Donald), sister Carol, brother Jimmy (Lindsay), sisters-in-law Fran (Graeme) , Rose (Rob), and mother-in-law (Helen). Cathy also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in PEI, Ontario, and Alberta, Cathy will be fondly remembered by her many friends in Centre Wellington and co-workers at the Wellington Terrace. There will be a visitation and service for Cathy held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00pm, followed by Memorial Service in the Chapel at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Canadian Mental Health Association.
