Obituary for Carolyn Elvira Forwell

Carolyn Forwell passed away Feb 12th 2023 with her family by her side.

Carolyn is survived by her son Steve McCathie (Patricia Bagley), and grandson Taylor McCathie, both of Waterloo.

She is predeceased by husbands Bruce McCathie ( Alexander and Euphemia ) and Joseph Forwell and beloved grandson, Ian McCathie. Carolyn had three siblings who predeceased her, brother Jack Dowling, sisters Delaine Ellis and Bernice Harvey. Carolyn was the youngest of four. She is survived by sisters in law, Lorraine Dowling of Cambridge and Betty Jane Forwell of Kitchener, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn and her siblings were born to John Andrew Dowling and Mary Ann Dowling (nee) Neely. She and her siblings were born and raised in Toronto, Ontario.

Carolyn will be remembered and celebrated for her impeccable entertaining skills. She was a fabulous cook and very much a perfectionist. Carolyn’s decorating skills were second to none and what she loved to do besides caring for her family. Our family will recall many happy gatherings. She always enjoyed her family vacations at Sauble Beach. Trips to Barbados, Accapulco and Florida as well. A wonderful life lived well.

Carolyn loved dancing, clogging and travelling with her husband of many years Joe Forwell. Flowers were also a big part of Carolyn's life.

Carolyn will be so very missed by her family, but we are left with many wonderful memories of her. And our times together. Her caring and loving nature was outstanding, and for that we love and thank her.
An amazing house keeper, Heaven can only be cleaner now. Always a sweet lady who was that way until the end. Faced with several tragedies she always came out fine and ok. A resilient little Lady who always succeeded and thrived. A wonderful outlook always.

Internment has taken place. Laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery with her beloved and well taken care of husband Joe Forwell overlooking their favorite city ....Waterloo.
Peace be with her and we will see you another time Carolyn.
