Suddenly on November 21, 2008 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. Carol Anne Mason in her 66th year. Loving mother of Kelly (Sue Anna Gervais) Hembruff of Ottawa and Karen Anne Darling of Elora. Dearest grandmother of Fionn, Ryley, Aidan, Maia, Taylor and Alex. Dear sister of Ray Mason (Linda) of Azilda. Dearly loved by her mother Hortense Mason of Elora and the late Stanley Mason (1997). Carol Anne is lovingly survived by a number of nieces and nephews and other family. Carol has been an elementary school teacher in Sudbury and Wellington County in a career that has spanned over 40 years. Carol was an active member of the Fergus Lions Club and volunteer with children’s drama groups in the Fergus-Elora area. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary the Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes St. in Elora, on Wednesday, November 26 at 11:00am. A Second Mass will be held on Saturday, November 29 at the Holy Redeemer Church in Sudbury. Services entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel in Elora.
