Obituary for Captain Trevor Whittaker Forbes

At Groves Memorial Hospital, aged 87. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary Louise Forbes (2005). Loving father of Louise (Hunt) Rowsom. Adored grandfather of Jason (Sandra) Rowsom and Rebecca Anne Forbes Rowsom Lowe. Treasured great grandfather of Kassandra, Carmen, Ryan, Sarah and Alexandria. Trevor was a proud member of the Canadian Military, serving overseas during the Second World War with the Canadian Dental Corp. He was a dedicated member of the 11th Field Regiment (Guelph), the Canadian Legion, Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodge. An abrasive specialist and gifted multi-medium artist specializing in glass, Trevor’s expertise launched many successful careers. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the Beechwood National Military Cemetery in Ottawa, Spring 2009. We wish to express our deepest appreciation to Dr. Stickney and the nursing angels on the second floor at Groves Memorial Hospital for all of their wonderful care and compassion. Memorial donations can be directed to the Groves Memorial Hospital – CT Scanner fund. Arrangements entrusted to Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel in Fergus.
