It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Cal on March 4, 2007 at McMaster Hospital in Hamilton in his 78th year.He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Rose (Shortreed) of 59 years. Fondly remembered by his children Mike (Joan), Libby Darroch (Bryan), Jerry (Pam), Paul (Lisa), Tim (Gloria) and Rob (Mary). Predeceased by his son Peter Calvin (1958). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Andrea, Jeremy, Chad, Amberleigh, Shelby, Elise, Jasmine, Richelle, Zachary, Kristen, Brandon, Chantal, Charity and Calvin and his great grandchildren Hope, Cole and Savannah. Survived by his brother Ellwood. Predeceased by his parents Stanley (1938) and Gertrude (1989) and brother Belford (1978). Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on March 6th, 2007 from 7-9pm and March 7th, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 460 St. George St. West in Fergus, on Thursday, March 8th, 2007 at 11:00am.
