Obituary for Buelow Karola (Schlag)

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our loving Wife, Mother, and Oma, Karola Maria Buelow at Collingwood Marine and General Hospital in Collingwood ON, on Monday, March 11, 2019, at the age of 78 years. Karola was the loving Wife and life long companion of Wolfgang Buelow of Wasaga Beach, ( formerly of Kitchener) for 56 wonderful years. Dearest Liebe Mutti of Petra Mackend ( Rhett ) of Palmerston ( formerly of Kitchener) .Most cherished Oma of Neena Delicart ( Nick ) of Kitchener, and Quinton Mackend of Palmerston. Karola was the loving sister of Ursula Mills ( Jeff) of Baton Rouge Louisiana U.S.A. Dear sister in law of Anna Schlag, Joachim (Anne) Buelow, Peter (Conny) Buelow, and Jutta Kempf all of Germany and Heinz Witzel of Mississauga ON.
Also remembered by her nieces and nephews Michael ( Peggy ) Witzel, Steve ( Grace ) Witzel, Tanja ( Robert ) Dube, Karston ( Deja ) Hart Mario Schlag, and Cornelia Schlag. She will be remembered and missed by many more relatives in Germany. Predeceased by her biological father Herr Schlag and her parents Reinhardt and Elly Pfaff. Her father in law Hans Buelow, and mother in law Gerda Buelow, her brother Rudy Schlag and sister Sigrid Witzel.

Karola loved spending time in nature and enjoyed time her time with all animals. She had a terrific kind and quirky sense of humour, and enjoyed making us all laugh. What she loved and treasured most, and made her life complete was her family, especially her grandchildren, who made her so extremely proud, and who will be forever lost without their Oma. The Family will receive their friends and relatives for a memorial visitation from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Homes-Waterloo Chapel, 617 King St. N. Waterloo (across from Home Depot). Memorial Service in the Chapel will follow at 1 p.m. Dr. Rev. Bruce Sweet officiating. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
